He was a Cape All-Star last year too. Hit almost 300.

We should have let Foster go after last year. He's obviously never going to hit over .200.

Foster also found his way to the bench, just like Krob

Ill give you that.

Its just everyone else was out performing him.

Cant blame the coaches for pulling you when you are being outplayed.

I don't think he was. I think he was just looking at it from his point of view and being confident. Is he supposed to say he sucked it up?

Oh, a benched player is disgruntled. That's never happened before. Must be something wrong with CPM.

I don't either. It worked out well. That's not my point. I'm just laughing at all the people coming out of the woodworks giving the kid shite because he thinks he's a good player. I mean, wtf?

I just don't think he should have said anything. Just seemed really bitter about it. Came off as petty.

Don't think he needs to "prove" anything to anyone in BR. Everyone knows he is a great player. He just got outplayed this year and its the coaches job to put the best players on the field. Him being injured most of the year doesn't help either.

Nothing more, nothing less.

You're using statistics to spin. Krob's average was dropping. He "feasted" on shitty pitching early, and as the competition started to improve his average was dropping while others' were getting better. At the time he was benched Krob appeared to be heading toward Mendoza territory.

And DHing Foster would have put Sciambre's bat on the bench for Krob's. That drop off in hitting was judged to be not worth the defensive difference between Foster and Krob. CPM made the right call. Hopefully Krob gets better at the plate; we'll need him in the field next year whether he does or not.

He was specifically asked about losing the job to Foster. It's not like he just came out and started talking shite

Bottom line he should have hit a lot better during non conf play and then the injury happened.

Call it spin if you want. I've said I think benching him was the right call. I only wanted to point out that he wasn't exactly doing anything less than what was expected of him based on what he did the year before. It had way more to do with what other players were doing rather than what he wasn't doing.

The injury happened way later during pregame infield.

I understand that and I never said he did.

He was asked how he used it as motivation. Not if he thought he should have been benched. He didn't even answer her question. She asked " How have you used it as motivation..." and he just went straight to "shouldnt have been benched"

He definitely used it as a platform to voice his displeasure.

Like I said, he has nothing to "prove to them back in Baton Rouge". Everyone knows he is a great player.

but he sure as hell didn't do anything to keep it either. Does he honestly believe that this team would have been better with him in the lineup?

If I'm KRob, 3B, SS and 2B are all open heading into fall, if you want a spot, it's there for the taking, go earn it and don't give PM a reason to yank you from the lineup.

What did Hale or Chinea do the last 3 weeks to keep their jobs?

Which starter finished the year with a lower OB% than KRob?
