Rich Rod???

Rich Rod??

He has failed in his last several positions. No dice.

Also, a moot point.

I honestly have no problem with the Air Raid. Never played in it in high school but hear it's really fun to play in and gets your playmakers in space.

That's the thing, you think a guy like Kliff could get a DC like chavis in here? Older well respected dcs probably wouldn't want to work under him.

I may be wrong, but old men are stubborn.

Yet Chavis is working for Sumlin, another coach under the Mike Leach Air Raid Coaching Tree

What several positions?? The man has been a winner everywhere he's been. Tulane, WVU of course, and now Arizona. Only Michigan he's failed because the impatient fanbase didn't give the man enough time to build his kind of team. Even so, Brady Hoke came right behind him using his talent he had assembled and had a decent career earning him some good money before Rodriquez's talent ran out and Michigan canned his arse. lol

I expect people on here like you to say these things, but if anyone knows how to use talent on offense it's this guy. He would look great in a correct sized LSU cap with that intense face.

It's all about if Rich Rod is given enough time to assemble his team. I agree

Rich Rod would do good here, but the problem is the fans who is not knowledgeable on his offense will bash him in a similar fashion as they do Les

Dude is about more than 3-3-5. He's scored all over power 5 teams while at WVU. That's what he's running at Arizona right now because that's what the situation calls for there, but Arizona has nowhere near LSU talent. When he was the OC at Tulane. He ran a west coast strike type offense that passed the frick out the ball with Shaun King at QB. King couldn't run and was limited in what he could do. But that's the beauty of Rodriquez. He adapts to whatever type of offense the situation calls for. He knows a variety of offenses, Pat White was no Shaun King. White was a dual threat QB that was good at running and Rodriquez played up to his strengths. He would do the same with Harris and Jennings. Find out what they're really good at and play up to their strengths.

OK, I'll play.

At Arizona he has lost 5, 5, 4, and as of now 6 losses since being there...in the PAC10. If that is your idea of success, then I can't argue with you.

He failed completely at Michigan. A coach must adapt to the personnel he has, and he certainly failed to do that at Michigan.

He had a nice record at West Virginia, but has bombed (IMHO) since then.

I did not see much adaptation when he was at Michigan. Didn't you just write that he needed more time to build his type of team at Michigan?

And, by the way, there may be a reason he cannot field a defense...either his focus on offense when recruiting and coaching, or the amount of time his defenses must stay on the field are likely factors.

literally the exact same thing we hear with every single air raid coach.

why do you think that is? you think they just never thought of it? you think it never occurred to them? or is it more likely that the offense hurts the defense and makes it pretty much impossible.

Funny guy?? And I'm not asking you to play. I don't have to convince you of shite. Rodriquez has been a good coach wherever he's been. If you can't see that then that's your problem. You put a name out there and all you clowns do is criticize! Who's your pick as a replacement for Miles?? Picking a good coach is not a easy thing to do. At Michigan Rodriquez was tryin to build his type of teams as well as change a culture there that was used to a certain type of football. Always a hard thing to do because you're against the clock with an impatient fan base that wants you to win and win right now. His track record speaks for itself! Tulane had a top offense the year they went unbeaten. Scoring with regularity. At WVU his teams were always exciting to watch and beat top 25 teams with regularity. At Arizona they were always in the bottom half of the Pac 12. Now they contend every season. Arizona is a basketball school! So, they do not get top talent contending with ASU and other Pac 12 schools, but he does real good with what he has. If the dude coached LSU talent there is no doubt they would explode offensively under his leadership. Defensively, which is not his strong point, I'm sure he would bring in a top DC. He would probably keep Orgeron. Rodriquez is familiar with LA and it's great talent pool having been at Tulane.

You mean the personnel that he inherited that was terrible and he was in the process of trying to upgrade?? Get a clue!
