If you have courage to read it.. Sounds like we had a gameplan that went south with with ineffectiveness running and at QB.
SIAP. Sorry if link acts up- couldn't get it to link correctly on cell.

LSU did make some offensive adjustments. It tried very hard to get TE DeAngelo Peterson involved in the passing game as a wide receiver. He played a season-high 38 snaps but caught one ball and was targeted twice. I thought going in that Russell Shepard would play a big role because of his perimeter speed. He played three snaps and never touched the ball.
The Tigers also went away from their formation tendencies and played a lot of three and four wide receiver sets, realizing they were going to have trouble running the ball and wanting to spread Alabama out defensively. Of the 44 plays, LSU used three wides or more 26 times. But there was no inside running game and Alabama totally shut down the option runs, which were successful the first time around.
Just when I thought there were no adjustments from the 1st game.

He pulls no punches with Jefferson and Randle. So we had a couple open receivers that Jefferson couldn't see or couldn't pull the trigger on.

Shows how dumb this board is. We did make changes. Unfortunately, they did not work, but that happens sometimes.

Yep. I was so pissed off most of the game I missed much of what Kleinpeter saw in breakdown. I noticed different formations, but didn't realize it was so often.
The coaches had a plan- that plan wasn't executed. Can't fault them for that. But can fault them for not adjusting.

Offensive opportunity missed As mentioned before Jefferson was reluctant to pull the trigger and it hurt LSU more than once. One egregious spot came on LSU's fifth series. On second-and-8 from its 23 and three wides in the game, LSU got Peterson matched up on Mark Barron, one-on-one. Peterson sped past Barron running left to right in the middle of the field. Jefferson rolled left and Peterson was open for a big gainer with two steps on Barron. But Jefferson pulled the ball down and ran for 3 yards.
He never could see the field. We heard that he was so much better based on Krags, and we heard so much about him from the Manning Academy, and we have been told all along that the coaches know better because they see things in practice that we just don't see..."THEY" were all full of shite, and many of us knew it, because it never translated to the field. No field vision is one of the worse attribute a Qb can have, as everything else flows from that one attribute. The Manning Academy must have ZERO ability to understand this and to assess this. The Manning Academy sucks.

Jordan Jefferson was awful (see Jefferson report). Besides an ugly interception, he fumbled three times and fell into his old habit of holding onto the ball despite having open receivers. It's doubtful Jarrett Lee would have made much difference. After looking at the film, LSU Coach Les Miles should have gone to him anyway. Jefferson played as if he was in a daze.
Michael Ford, LSU's leading rusher in the first game, carried four times for 5 yards and played eight snaps. Bama softened its pass rush to keep Jefferson contained in the pocket and prevent him from scrambling for big yardage. He had one for 18 yards late in the game, but it was inconsequential.

sure they did different things. splitting peterson out wide, motioning randle out the backfield to try and pair him on a LB, and splitting jc copeland out wide... at that one actually
they did try different things, but when you have the very definition on incompetence at QB, it doesnt very much matter. add in the complete lack of in-game adjustments from the coaching staff, and you saw what we got

yes, bad gameplans do happen

This guy seldom has anything new or original to say, just repeating what has been said in other media.
