From the posts on this board, and the overall sentiment of the gameday experience, someone needs to contact Mr. O'Reilly for the next iteration of his Killing series.

Move LSU to north Louisiana. Shreveport maybe. Those fans wouldn't leave at halftime.

No doubt. it ain't what it used to be.....but if you don't already know that, you won't figure it out.

Maybe Coach O could take a page out of Saban's radio show playbook about the half empty stadium:

LINK

Announced attendance this weekend was 102K plus....but the stadium looked half empty by the start of the 3rd quarter. It looks bad enough on TV and to recruits to see the stadium so empty right after halftime of a blowout against lower tier competition...but it was a tied game still. Why even buy tickets if you aren't planning to stay past halftime. Or if you buy season tix and don't care about the non-conference games, give those away to someone who will stay. Horrible reflection on the program for visiting recruits to see 102K attendance dwindle to 50K by halftime, or for a national TV audience to be watching a stadium with same % of empty seats as a WNBA game.

Question is, how much worse can it get?

Of course North LA fans wouldn't leave at halftime- they wouldn't show up in the first place.

Shreveport is a terrible sports town. And that pains me to admit it.

Tow Tiger Stadium behind the State Capitol building from another post.

The decline started in 2008, after LSU's second National Championship.

If LSU isn't contending for a title, it's not good enough for today's Tiger fan.

It looked to me like they did well per capita at the 1997 Independence Bowl.

I wonder how many of the 48k fans in attendance were actually from the Shreveport area?

damn right..... I give you the two Indy Bowls here. Packed to the rafters the whole game....and the Notre Dame game was fricking miserable weather.
