@LarryHolder: RT @AaronWilson_NFL: The Texans have released seventh-round rookie running back Kenny Hilliard, according to a source. Definite candidate for practice squad

No ceilings.
Somebody is going to pick up a quality and very capable ball carrier.

Spoiler alert

Good luck to Kenny. I don't think he'll have a problem making it somewhere due to his size and strength.

Charles James effect. They can keep just 3 RB on the roster until Foster returns, and if they need a guy to take a few carries or slide up if one of the 3 gets hurt, James can slide over from DB and play RB.

Kenny needs too much room to get a head of steam. Once he does, look out because he is strong as hell, but he's just never going to be a dominant short-yardage back, imho. If they drafted him thinking he was their "3rd and three guy", that is just not what he is.

I'm a big fan of Kenny though, and hope he catches on elsewhere or on the practice squad.

I'm not If you watch hard knocks on HBO Hillard really didn't shine like the other RBs

Are we watching the same hard knocks? The only real camera time he's gotten in pads was when there were scrimmaging in the bubble and he looked solid. He was getting a lot of praise from the coaches.

Also, the reports on sports radio here were very positive.

He's much better than I thought he would be in the league. He has below average speed but he can hit a hole and get you three yards.

Foster should be back soon than. Surprised it's not Blue, but former players have told me Hillard has a hard time picking up the playbook.

Yes, It's very apparent to me that if Kenny was killing it, then Polk wouldn't be getting so much air time and they would NOT convert a DB Jackson III into a running back. Just sayin

Wish Kenny the best but he didn't have a strong showing in the preseason games.
