Simmons and toughness in the same sentence is a misnomer. Sorry but Simmons is soft for so much hype. I think he can be really good but he needs to play down low and be more physical. Kelvin Sampson is a really good coach. It showed yesterday that decent talent with good coaching will beat really good talent with zero coaching any day of the week.

You do realize that Simmons is leading our team in rebounding at 14.9 a game? He has 3 times as many offensive rebounds as the next Tiger. I guess that shows your lack of knowledge about this team and about Simmons

The problem I saw last night from JJ. Once Ben got 2 fouls he was not gonna challenge any shot in the lane. I can't blame him for that because we absolutely need him in the game and lately he gets whistled for breathing on somebody. So hears my issue. If your main "rim protecter" refuses to protect the paint then please JJ back off of the damn ball!!!! There's nobody protecting the rim! Stop pressing the ball outside the 3 pt arc! Just back off and make them shoot over the top of you. How many damn floaters did they hit in the lane because we got burnt off the dribble and nobody helped? How could nobody on the staff see that??? Just tell your guards to stop pressing the dribbler so high past the 3 pt line. We are not good enough defensively to do that even if Ben isn't in foul trouble. Make them shoot long 3's & 2's with a hand in their face and your bigs still in great rebounding position. How many uncontested floaters did they have to make before somebody makes the adjustment???
I feel like I'm taking fricking crazy pills.

that is a fix I can live with. It doesn't take any toughness to lead the nation in rebounding.

Yesterday was the second game this year for LSU basketball that I have quit watching. I couldn't stomach anymore drives to the lane from our opponents because we are an awful defensive team.

Do you even zone defense, Jones????

There is no future for JJ. This will/should be his last year.

F King Alexander and Jo Alleva will meet at the J Portal concession stand during halftime of the final home game and decide if it is or not.

That's a rough, rough equivalent to a Free Safety making 140 tackles in college football. It's not a positive, I assure you. Big Fat Elbert should be getting 10 boards a game, but he is not and so Simmons is forced to become our rebounder. Simmons, if he was not such an importance on the rebounding end, could be playing looser and headed down for fast break point chances.

They were mauling us on our side of the court under the basket and yet we would barely touch them or in Quarterman's case don't touch them at all and the fricking whistle's were being blown

I was at the shitty arena, and I remember the UH player consistently extending his arm with the ball. I want to saynhe threw it pretty damn hard one time, and Q got called for a defensive foul.

No replay in that arena, not that it would have mattered with how bad there board was
