Keeping opposing DL off balance

As bad as I've seen our blocking, the play calling isn't giving our guys much of an advantage.
Is LSU truly incapable of developing a screen game? Right now, it's all about attacking from other DCs.

What's really got me worried the most is the first season of a new offense is supposed to be the one that catches defenses off guard the most. How crappy is it going to look when opposing defensive coordinators have a full season of film on us and Guice is gone?

screen might do the trick. but those are easy to defend if the defense is ready for the and have the athletes to penetrate and tackle behind the line. sure, they can be timely but you can't screen all the time. our OL is depleted, young, and not all that good 1 on 1. this is definitely our Achilles heel and is the one place that will hurt this team against really good front 7's. we just have to be patient and recruit better. It would help if the state produced more top linemen but since it doesn't we will have to go OOS and that's much less successful. and when you add in that saban robs us of some of our few top guys it is likely to be the biggest obstacle to returning to a top football team. i'm not a pessimist but this has been LSU's issue for a long time. it was not much better back in the day. we have to admit that the state of Louisiana is just not large enough to produce what we need annually at all positions to be a top tier program. our OOS recruiting has got to pick up. I think that's why Grimes was hired and retained as he is better than Stud in that regard.
