I am tired of reading the " fans were booing Miles and and not JJ " excuse when Miles brought him in to score the TD on the goaline. I don't recall Ryan Perrilloux ever getting booed when he was brought in when the Tigers were in the redzone. Even after another QB had gotten them there. IMO he is a much bigger POS that deserved booing a hell of a lot more than Jefferson. Let's also not forget JJ was booed every other time he went out onto the field Saturday. JJ has put just as much blood, sweat, and tears into helping this team win the last three years as any other Tiger on that field. That's a lot more than can be said for the fans sitting on their arses in the stands Saturday.

There is now the potential for a racial rift on this team due to the low class ignorance of these few fans. If you think this is a way of supporting Lee you are sadly mistaken. Not to mention the benefits we will reap in recruiting thanks to this. Remember these are kids and don't believe for one second that they haven't thought it was a bunch of racist white trash booing JJ. Anyone born and raised in the south should know how strong racial divides can be. They run far deeper than any game that is played for 3 hours on a Saturday. I would much prefer this team's us against the world attitude to be focused on the opponent on the other sideline. Before the rantards start in on this, I don't believe the drops on Saturday were intentional. All I am saying is there is now the potential for a tension or distraction in the locker room that will definitely NOT help this team win.

Either support everyone on this team or show your displeasure by not going to the games. I am sure there are plenty of true LSU fans that would love to sit in your seat and cheer for the Tigers.

Wait, some people have actually suggested this??

The old farts around me were definitely booing JJ, with personal hatred. It was crazy.

Wow, it just amazes me that people keep talking about how this is hurting our program and that the public and other recruits are reading it and getting a bad impression of LSU...........

...........and yet every 30 seconds another idiot posts a ridiculous diatribe about how trashy and racist our fanbase is.

STOP talking about it.

I had nothing to do with race for most people. Most of those booing erroneously convicted JJ weeks ago of being a poor leader, committing a violent crime, and tarnishing LSU's imae in the media. Add to that 2 years of horrible QB play and Lee playing well and you get a bunch of morons who act out inappropriately.

........but for God's, and our, sake, please stop bitching about how shitty our fanbase is. We have one of the greatest fanbases in college football. Yes, there are some idiots, but every program has them and they don't even come close to being a majority of the Tiger Nation.

The one thing that is hurting us the most right now is that people KEEP BRINGING IT UP and acting like the entire Tiger Nation was wearing Klan outfits and booing while they threw trash onto the field.

JJ was boo'd 1st time, he wasnt boo'd next time he came in. They did cheer loudly when Jl came in on 3rd down and when Mett came in, but JJ was only boo'd on the 4th down. At least he wasnt boo'd to the extent that it sounded like majority of fans......

this booing our own players shite has the potential to ruin this season. i think the players will be ok but you never know. this "i paid my money, i have a right to............" is a load of crap. your "right" is infringing on my right. it's pathetic how some people think they own this team and their feelings supercede all others. they are like spoiled little children throwing a temper tantrum. that's right and the "old farts" mentioned are worse.

Technically that's true. Look...I hate when guys like Sharpton and Jackson play the race card when there is no reason to. It's 2011 and we as a nation have come a loooooooooooooong way and that is too often ignored.

However, when there's an issue that does have some racial tensions to it, pretending that it doesn't serves no one other than those for whom race really is an issue. Much like Glen Guilbeau's stupid article last Friday, it enables those who do see race as an issue to hide behind the majority that it's all about something else.

This is purely anecdotal so take it for what it's worth, but while waiting for the players to come down the hill on Saturday with my 9 year old son, some old 'neck behind us felt the need to point out to his pig faced wife that Jefferson had come down right behind Miles and that, "He ought to have body guards...wish they'd shoot that N*****!"

When in the stadium and Jefferson came in, aside from the boos racial slurs were EASILY heard blaring out. I know NO ONE here would ever admit to saying them, but will you deny that you didn't hear them in your section when the boos and cat calls came raining down?

Now...is it the majority? OF frickING COURSE NOT!!! But it's not some insignificant 1% either. Listening to the complete horseshite being yelled at JJ from the stands made me feel like Gene Hackman in Mississippi Burning.

I know the admins don't want this to be the primary theme on this board (understandably), but your experience is the same as mine. That sort of ugly, obvious racism still exists. It is not the majority of fans, of course, but it's certainly more than one or two. I think exposing it here and elsewhere could have a positive effect. If nothing else, drive the ignorant assholes further underground.

Honestly, I agree with them basically. Hell, no one wants to point out that their family is awful at times. And as an LSU fan, I consider those folks who pile into Tiger Stadium each Saturday with me as extended family. While I would much prefer to talk only about their wonderful attributes, I don't think it serves anyone to pretend that there is not still an ugly underbelly of fans that make the rest of us...the majority of us...look like backwards arse rednecks.

If anyone wants to give away their tickets, either because they disapprove of Miles playing JJ or because they disapprove of the boo birds, keep your Rant bretheren in mind.

Just sayin'.

I didn't boo, but I was pissed, and it was not at JJ it was Miles.

Look, "If it ain’t broke don't fix it". Our Offense if fine, we don't have short yardage problems, 3rd down problems, or redzone problems. So why do we need a wrinkle involving taking our QB out. Changing a RB out for certain situations is common, but not a QB, at this time we just have no need for it. Maybe down the line we may need it, but not now.

I feel bad for JJ, to lose his job this way, but in this sport you have to find the right mix of talent to put on the field, Right now that mix is working better with Lee than it did with JJ. Throw out everything that happened in the last 4 years and all arrest stuff, b/c it doesn't matter. Lee should take all snaps, b/c at this point there is no reason he shouldn't. Our offense hasn’t been this consistent in years.
