He also had a year of development in JC! That means that we now have a talented QB who had college development under someone besides Gary Crowton! This hasn't happened since Matt Flynn.

Championship.

So you're saying we have hope since Mett's QB coaching was outsourced.

Absolutely. We know Crowton can't develop QBs. He took Flynn, who had already been developed under Fisher, and won a national championship with the most prolific offense in LSU history. Mett has already been taught for one year with Richt and another year at JC.

Maybe Crowton (if he is still here) won't screw him up that badly?

The thing I love about Richt-coached qbs, is they actually SELL the play-action pass. They don't just go through the motions. That has a huge effect on the defense. David Greene was one of the best at it.

It's just sad that we have to have a rival school's coaching staff teach our (future) QB's. Normally I would have a good laugh at all this but now and and don't forget .

I thought he redshirted there for one year and had his problem that spring. That would have put him on campus for the summer-fall-and spring of 09-10. Then, he went to JC this fall. So, he has 3 years to play 3. He is basically a RS Sophomore next year.

Yeah, all of those numbers in 2007 (except passing yards) were better than in 2006. I'm not going by rankings. I'm going by yards and points per game.

Biggest hope for Mett is that he learned everything he needed to under Richt and at Junior College. If he has any more development under Crowton he will be another JL/JJ.

Hopefully Crowton doesn't try to "fix" him....

Yeah, but then we can use the Bama counter-argument:

Richt couldn't win with Richt's players, so that makes Miles better.
