Hard to believe LSU is paying him $5m for next few years to a guy who nobody wants as a coach

if you think that is bad, we have a large buyout in O's contract too.
it's part of why Alleva needs to geaux.
they could have negotiated the backend of O's contract much better.
Jeaux gets paid to run the business side of things and it's a complete mess right now.

It was time for him to go. There will be a time for him to come back as an ambassador for LSU sports.

The guy sucked at coaching football.

Miles won 114 games in 11 plus years at LSU. In 8 of his 11 complete seasons, he had to play either the the winner of the national championship game (seven times) or the team that lost that game.

The shitbirds that have complained about Miles and his coaching record sound like spoiled little crybabies.

Then why did a lot of posters on here still were trashing him. Unfortunately the game passed him by, it happens to a lot of coaches. Even with it passing him by he was still successful. And still one of the top 3 coaches in LSU football history

this still eats at me.

we would have been the greatest national champion of all time if we had played and beaten Okie State for the title.

In one season we would have beaten
Pac12 champion
Big East champion (i think..WVU? forget which conference they were in then)
Big12 Champion
Won the SEC and of course...
beaten Alabama

Probably would not have had a mass exodus of juniors the next two years either.

frick that mulligan game.

What on earth makes you think he would be a good AD.

Absolutely zero attention to detail.
Inarticulate
Questionable choices in hiring his own assistants yet you think he'd do "swell" at hiring head coaches?
No real business acumen.
Leads with his heart rather than his head.

I get that many think he's a nice guy. Fine.
As for being an ambassador, I personally think he was actually the "class clown" to the media. You just never knew what crazy ol' Les would do or say.
He was not a great coach.

Ill go even further. If The dolphins Medical dept doesnt give a thumbs down on Brees,Saban never returns to the sec. We win a national title in 2011,at least the west title in 2012 and probably the west title in 2015.

How dare you say something positive about Miles. He ruined our program and brought us back to where Hallman left off.

My mom was in front of him in a check out line at Albertsons years ago and said "my sons love you and LSU football" expecting a simple "thanks!" In return.

Instead he asked how old we were, where we went to college, where we live now, if we have our own kids, and what we do for a living.

My mom said she was done checking out and basically had to interrupt his questions and tell him she had to leave

Dude is just genuinely nice. Great dad it appears and a huge loveable goober.

Have you seen our last few coaching hires?
Mils hired way more good coaches than bad ones.

Absolutely zero attention to detail.

Holy shite. You cant have one of the most successful tenures ever at a top 15 alltime program and not have an attention to detail.
quote:

no real business acumen.

You have no fricking clue if this is true. He has an economics degree from Michigan.
quote:

He was not a great coach.

FACTS prove he was very successful . Your opinion doesnt outweigh facts.
Ill take facts that say someone was very successful over the opinion of being great.
