. The man brought us a national championship and is one of the great ambassadors lsu has ever had.

Protecting his players. What specifically did he lie about that has you so upset?

Anyone can have their opinion.........
Les Miles is not the LSU FB HC...God bless him
If Aleva is fired, we do not need Les Miles as AD......

Glad you met him. He's one of the coolest and most personable guys I've ever met.

In my opinion, there are a lot of people that post on here that hate Les. There are way too many classless posts thrown out by people about him here on the rant. Hate is the only logical answer.
The rest of your post I agree with 100%.

Never questioned the integrity of the man. Class act and great ambassador of LSU.
Offensive philosophy passed him by…

The guy sucked at coaching football.
If you could guarantee me that Orgeron would duplicate Miles in the terms of longevity, wins, winning percentage and championships i'd take it right now. You'd be a fool not to.
We've played football on the Bayou for over 100 years and he's probably the most successful coach we've ever had - certainly no worse than second.
He wasn't perfect and it was time for him to go but GTFO with the he 'sucks at coaching football' bullshite.

A few weeks ago, I saw Les and his wife at Bonefish Grill. They sat in a booth between the kitchen and the bathroom.
Les sat across from his wife, and sometimes sat with his back to the wall--anyone could get a full view of him looking his way.
He and his wife talked the whole time, but no one approached him until near the end of the meal, where two women who had a child waved at Les from a few tables away when they were leaving.
It just seemed sad. The man had it all and squandered it because he was that hard headed. He's become a 'nobody' in college coaching, and that's how he'd defined himself as a man for a good portion of his life. Of course, he has no one else to blame. Les is a good guy but he'll have to sleep on the bed that he made. There are things money can't buy.

Seriously - i've been in restaurants before when coaches come in. People gawk (like you did) but they don't rush them like they're the fricking Beatles.
Les drinking alone at the bar would have been sad - this just seems like a normal encounter.

Nobody hates Les. It's just the fact that he was too stubborn to change and then the game passed him up. He's by all accounts a very genuine guy and loves LSU and I will never hate him for that. But college football is a business now, and he wasn't putting us in the best position to succeed.
Nailed it! had he fired cam c. a year earlier and brought in a canada type of OC. Then he would probably still be the head coach. I say probably but he couldnt keep his hands off the offense so maybe not.

Saw him at walkons yesterday also. Random dude walked up to his table and chatted him up for the longest. He put his sun glasses on after lol. He's a real polite guy but I'm sure he'd like to be left the hell alone a lot of time also.

I respect Les for a majority of the reasons already stated.
HOWEVER, he never allowed the rich talent he had to reach their collective best other than the NC year. His QB evaluation, alone, cost us other NC's. A change was definitely needed.

The board will be saying the same nonsense about O when he fails to win 5 NC in a row !!!!!

And what respect did he earn?
Was it the 2012 NC shite show?
Running Fournette in to 9-10 man boxes his whole career?
The great Lambeau experience?
Lying about changing the offense?
Making his friends rich when they had no business coaching at LSU?
Time management?
Our awesome offenses?
Wasting more talent than anyone?
You people are truly amazing. This guy drained LSU of its money and never had any intentions of improving LSU football. It was always about Les, his friends, his bank account and his ego. If he was the great guy y'all make him out to be he'd changed his offense and made hires that built up his weaknesses. He never did that and because of that he only had 1 title to show for it when he should've had at least 3. Even the one he got took a complete miracle to get.
Pay the man his money and let him fade off and become a distant memory.
