It just isn't right. I told my girlfriend the other day that there was no way in hell we would ever get married on a Saturday in the fall. She responds with "I would want to get married around May anyway."

True story. When my wife and I set our wedding date (24 years ago), we picked a weekend in September 1986 because LSU had an open date. That date fell through because of some other family events, so we said screw it and moved it forward to April 1986. No way we were getting married on an LSU football game day.

You're looking at this the wrong way. If your wife is in the wedding, she will be too occupied to miss you when you sneak away to watch the game. And all eyes will be on the bride and wedding party. You're home free!
