Go to Hotwire.com and select downtown area and then CNN Center as the location, they got a few good deals there within 1.7 mi of the Dome.

I took a shot at the 4 star hotel deal and just got 2 nights at the Sheraton for $78/night. we live 30 mi. north of town and decided to get a room and stay downtown to hang with everyone.

Check out LSU Atlanta fan guide at www.LSUatlanta.com for info on alumni tailgate bar.

Yeah I booked yesterday. I did the mystery 4 star hotel on hotwire and got the Hilton downtown for 90 something a night.

I did the same thing. $94 a night for the hilton downtown when its usually $189 / night. Hopefully close enough to the stadium to walk.

All of those 4 stars are walking distance to the Dome. From Peachtree at Andrew Young it's just under a mile to the door of the stadium. Very manageable.

Just make sure you search DOWNTOWN and filter search to make CNN Center as the location and that the results show 0 - 1.7 miles radius. If not you could get thrown out to Midtown which requires a cab ride or MARTA ride.
