Just got home from game; possum between my house and the neighbors

Couldn't make that up. Tried to hunt him down for a photo op, but after multiple chances, I failed to bring him in.

Shoot that fricker!!! I hope this is the end of that shite!!!!

Better team won this super regional. We had opportunities and couldn't get the big hit. Putting it all on a freshmen in the 9th showed our lack of depth. Coastal is a solid team that will fail in Omaha without good pitching.

Set a trap then drown him in the river. That's what my grandfather use to do.

The Jordan twins killed the possum unmercifully in the post season.

I actually thought the OP was going to be a play on a similar thread someone posted like this last night.

It looked like the possum from the box. I hope this was his goodbye.

Nah dude, I didn't get too much into all the possum hype until I saw that when my headlights hit the driveway.

Don't they all look the same?

They only threw 4 pitchers yet we hit them well. We were way outcoached.

Outcoached where? How do you coach these guys to get hits with runners on base? Because that was the downfall tonight.

Running out of innings. Saving arms in a two run game and 4 ABs left.

I mean, you are mostly talking about one game. The series as a whole, I feel like it was close, and experience won out. We had freshmen/sophomores up in crunch time, and they had juniors/seniors.

Fraley was 0-3 with risp
Base running was just as bad on our part this game. Stealing with Diechmann at the plate? Holding freeman? Not running on down angle when you have a runner behind you?

Not gonna argue that one with you.

Holding freeman?
I will argue this. Freeman was 3 steps around 3rd when the cutoff man caught the ball, a good throw gets him at the plate, and it was with 1 out. Cain can't predict that he was not gonna go home with it.

quote:thats not true. Freeman starts to head back to the bag as the cutoff man gets the ball and he can't believe he wasn't sent. Watch the replay. It wouldn't have been close.

I'm referring to Kramers hit back to the mound. With no outs and a runner at 2nd or 1st you tell the runner to go at down angle to draw a check and throw and stay in a run down. The runner behind him should know he needs to get to 3B so no harm done. Or even better the batter gets to 2B. Freeman did it right recently vs Rice.

We had one last night in my side yard as we drove up at 2 am. He ran away and we were like what are the chances.
Poor guy ... Hope he's not there tonight.

Slack that was me and I swear I wasn't lying. Hoping I don't see him tonight.
