Just curious, are there any tRanters who think we should keep CLM?

I know there are some diehards out there. Was last night's performance enough to finally sway you? I would find it hard to believe anyone is still believe Les Miles can turn this program around, but this board usually doesn't get 100% agreement on anything - so if no Les supporters are left, this would be a first for the Rant. Anyone? Anyone?

I was one of the last holdouts but Wisconsin did it for me.

This was supposed to be the year. 2 losses total and he'd still have his job. 2 losses in September is unacceptable with the talent and experience level on this team.

I don't think there is a single poster on the rant that wants to retain him after this season

Yeah, we need to keep him. He's a recruiting God. He's so funny and quirky. Great for the LSU brand IMO.

I have been a Les supporter through all the stupidity and crazy ways that he wins ball games......mainly because I live in TN and have seen what happened to them when they ran Fulmer off for much the same reason. Did not want my beloved tigers to go through the same thing. But now it is clearly time for Les to go. The game has passed him by.... he cannot get along on talent alone anymore.

For the season yet. Let's see what he does the rest of the year. If he goes 10-2 or 9-3 this year there's no reason to fire him.

I'm going to root for LSU to win the rest of the games and if that means we keep him, then so bit.

Of course we should keep him. Mike the tiger deserves an end of season sacrifice to feed him.

I understood the decision to fire him last year but was not totally on board. I thought he should have a chance to show something with the team this year. About 6 minutes into the WI game it was over for me.

I think we should keep Miles until he wants to retire. In the end, it's not about winning or losing, it's about how you play the game. Miles and his players play the right way. Plus we get to a bowl every year and are consistently the best team in the state. That's pretty strong if you ask me.

Hey....we have losses coming against Bama, Ole Miss, Arky, aTm, and possibly Florida.

Get your head out of your arse.

Personally, I was done after Wisconsin, if that makes any difference to you. I didn't think the way things went last year justified firing. However, with the slowest start in the Miles era - and the ugliest overall team after Week 4 that we've seen (we just watched the 5th and 6th September losses of the Miles era, in its 12th season - for perspective) time to go..

The school with the most NFL talent (currently active on rosters) - our school (and, kudos to Miles and company for that accomplishment) - is going to be unranked and struggle to finish the season at .500 or, perhaps, 1 win above.

Not even Miles' fault. His strengths ARE his weaknesses and vice versa. All good things must come to an end.

I'm sure they're just taking the day off. I mean, they really have no defense at this point.

You stuck in the 1960s?

Tulane sucks nowadays and any team with a pulse can make it to a bowl game.

There are still a solid half dozen or so. I admire their commitment. I TOTALLY disagree with them, but it's solid work on their end.

I have been a Miles supporter since day one. I still am, but as bad as the team as looked this year, I feel it's time to make a change. There's just too much talent on the roster for the team to look so dysfunctional game after game.

I am grateful for all that Les has done for the program, and I will pull for him as long as he's running the team. But it appears his time is almost over.
