Or you just lazy and don't make enough to purchase a $100 ticket. Work harder and you might get to go to the Bayou Bash.

I might "get" to go? Like it is some sort of event that should be on my bucket list or something?

Screw that. The whole concept has always been kinda juvenile to me…especially in this day and age of the internet. I am more than happy to check then internet around 6pm to get a list of who LSU signed. I don't need a day filled with all the bullshite and schoolgirl drama about who flipped and who wavered. Just tell me at the end of the day who signed and I am happy. I don't need to rub elbows with Boudreaux from Houma at the casino all day waiting to see who the Tigahs sign...

There is an old proverb about a fool and their money being soon parted.

It is not a matter of being cheap. It is a matter of choosing what to spend your money on. The power of choice is a wonderful thing.

I'll put it this way: If I show up at the casino on Wednesday with $100 to burn, it won't be spent on the Bash, but more likely at the Pai-Gow table.

Yep, and that's standing room only. To get a table for two, its $350.

We also just called and almost laughed at the guy on the phone.

Everything IS NOT a money grab.....sometimes things are "priced" as a deterrent.

The individual paying $100 to get in probably isn't there to get shite-faced drunk and yell stupid shite that ruins the experience for most everyone else.

Thats what I did. I just got there when I could and ate lunch at the sports bar then drank for free on the casino floor. Watched everything I need to on the big screens. Then went up with some friends who were inside the actual room and watched miles.

Absolutely this…and I have never even been, but I can imagine this is 100% true. Just like every thing else, there are probably a few assholes who would make this event less fun.

The event in itself is actually really boring. Just being honest. I used to like to do it when i was in college because it was an excuse to skip Wednesday classes and get smashed during the day.

Blame the crazy drunk people that were cursing at Miles and his family.

Miles left the event a few years back saying he was never coming back.

or 1 venue is willing to not charge them for use and the river center was more costly. Like some have said, its a fundraiser so I can't blame them for the move.

I really like it more now that's it's at the Casino . I've been around the GI club since it's inception. I can remember one of the first ones in the field house on campus. The River Center experiment was way out of proportion to what it was originally meant to be. I'll be there Wednesday enjoying to company of like minded tiger fans for a good time.

If you think it was moved becasue someone called Miles out you are an idiot. Doors are open to the public at 4:30 so anyone can walk in then and call Les an idiot if they want.

I liked the old setup because it allowed anyone to take the day off and have fun. The new setup requires you to get a VIP table or be in the Gridiron Club. Believe the old setup was costing to much to put on even with the larger crowds.

When they got rid of the food vendors last year, that pretty much ended it for me. More money for microwaved Casino crap food? No thank you sir.

EDIT: That being said, I would certainly give them another shot if they made good changes this year. I'll wait and see on that, though.

LSU managed to frick up tailgating. Gridiron club has managed to frick up bayou bash. Shocking. This event used to be bad arse. I made several in a row. It's ashamed it's gone down hill.

No you can blame it on our trashy obnoxious fan base who think it's completely appropriate/necessary to air out their idiotic rants at what was supposed to be a light hearted event

I think Tiger Droppings should start planning a Recruiting Bash for next year that everyone can attend. It could be like a Tailgating party. Get sponsors and have everyone cook like the do before football games.

I was told the only way to get in was to join the Gridiron Club, $350. The membership includes entrance to this year bash, next year bash and 7 lunches at Drusilla's , Friday before home game.
