Last year we were awesome on offense at the end of the year...so my question is , what made us go? Was it the roster, or the guy that was calling plays and interim oc? If it was him , why did we not keep him at that position as oc. Didnt think we should have messed with a new coach and new offense...why change ,im sure ceo could have just hired him back instead of Canada if he wanted to ,rite? Whyover think it

People will tell you Ensminger didn't want the job, and that might be true, but Orgeron simply could not have gotten the full time job with Ensminger as OC.

That's what it boils down to I think. The pitch was he would bring in Kiffin. When that failed, he scrambled and brought in Canada.

This is revisionist history. LSU was terrible on offense against Florida and Bama which had decent defense. If they made LSU keep playing until they scored 1 point against Bama on offense last year, the game would still be going on.

The games where we looked good on offense:

Missouri - terrible defense
Southern Miss - LOL
Ole Miss - this was basically Fournette running wild. I wouldn't even say it was amazing offense
Texas A&M and Arkansas were just bad teams.

Also when you have a great d that keeps your O on the field, you can wear down teams. Our offense down the stretch overpowered the teams that were much worse than us. It was not some miracle change.
