Juniors Entering?

We got two to go..
And LSU needs to show up and continue what they are doing..
They may end up as America's best team on the field by season's end..
But HAve you all noticed???
Only 3 seniors in the first team depth chart??? Dworaczyk, Longeran, Clement
Not one on defense!!!
Shepard, Edwards, Downs are seniors in the two deep...
SOOO, this means we may end up with the best team at seasons end ON the FIELD.. and get them nearly ALL back!!!
BUT!! who goes pro??
Any RBs- I can see at least one back thinking health and pulling a Stevan Ridley (only not as a featured back)
DEs - Mingo -Montgomery-- who goes?
DTs - Logan leaves early? unlikely for the 18, or is it?
LB - Kevin Minter is better than Bradie James, imho
S- Eric Reid goes?
No seniors in the starting 11 on defense, but all the likely early entrees are on Defense..

This topic has been talked about a ton but I think we lose Reid, Mingo and Montgomery for sure. I think Simon probably goes and we lose 1 out of Logan and Minter. I also think one of the tailbacks leaves early, my guess would be Ware which I would hate to see happen.

I'm not sure why everyone is counting Reid out for sure. He's having a very average junior season.

Reid is someone I could see coming back. Am I expecting it? no. But, would it surprise me if he did? no.

I'm pretty sure he will be graduating this year, so there's no reason for him to stay

Yep. M&M are first rounders and I think Reid is graduating.

The latest Mock NFL Draft has Mingo and Montgomery as middle of the 1st round. And Reid was a late 1st rounder.
They had Mingo to the Jets. Montgomery to the Saints. And Reid to SanFran.
The Mock Draft only did the first 3 rounds. At that moment Simon, Logan, and Minter were not in the Top 3 rounds.
I think Mingo, Montgomery, and Reid are gone. But would love to have any of them back. I think Minter, Simon, and Logan stay another year.
On offense there was talk about Blue going pro early. Don't know if that is true or not. With Hill now as a featured back, idk how we make Ware, Ford, Hilliard, Blue, and Hill happy.

I just hope Ware comes back. He is the best all-around RB at LSU in a while. Amazing hands, amazing blocker, punishing runner, and doesn't fumble.

He's said education is important to him. Heard he was graduating this Spring though.
If he is a 1st rounder and graduated, then what really is holding him here?
Projections have him as a late 1st to SanFran. He could improve his stock though.

I agree with you. My biggest complaint with him is his vision is a bit of a drop off.. So many times he misses the hole and just tries to kill someone with a hit.

Minter would only improve by coming back. So many big name LB's ahead of him. He could be the best next year if he came back.
Logan can only improve.
Both aren't projected in first 3 rounds.
Though with Logan. If Montgomery and Mingo leave then him leaving could happen. We have good back ups, but will the line be as dominant? Could push him pro.

True sometimes. However those hits take their toll on the defense and Hill comes in and shakes 'em out there shoes with his cut backs.
Ware has bruised up a lot of LBs and safeties this year.
And holy shite that catch he made Saturday just proves what everyone already knew about his all-around skill set.

I think people are slightly overrating LSU players' draft stock. The Scouts, Inc. top 100 only had four LSU players in it, and only two with first round grades (Sam and Mingo). Reid and Logan both look like 2nd-3rd rounder. Minter, Simon, and Ware are barely on the radar.
It's possible all seven go pro, but extremely unlikely. Really, the number will be closer to 3 or 4. Other teams have good juniors, too. If our players were that good of draft prospects, don't you think we'd be even better on defense?
