It would be a bit of good news if Chavis wasn't allowed to have his cake & eat it too, as is so appropriately said.

I do think a lot of posturing takes place with this type of thing by all sides, but do in the end believe the Aggies will pay the buy-out, regardless of the amount & regardless of what they might say at this time. It is not like they can't afford it.

I don't see how someone comes to this conclusion.

He had talent with us and continually let us down.

Let's see how Steele does in tight games with the lead.

I didn't realize he had Jill Craft representing him. That tells you right there he's got a bullshite case. She has made an entire career out of bringing bullshite lawsuits against LSU, involving the media as much as possible and trying to extort settlements to avoid negative publicity.

+1 Just a few examples:

09 -Penn State
10 -Arkansas (D letting them score on the last play of the first half. REEEEEEALLY ??????
-Auburn
11 -1/9/12 Alabama NCG. Looked like he didn't even PREPARE for the possibility Alabama might PASS...
12 -Alabama (shameful)
-Clemson (4th and 16 ????? REEEEEALLY ????)
13 -Ole Miss
14 -Alabama AGAIN
-Notre Dame Shouldn't have even been on the sidelines as he was already photographed recruiting for A&M !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also from that year, you might want to add the one and only time in the history of LSU football that we scored 40 or more points in regulation and lost.

Of course, there are numerous examples. The majority of our losses in the last three years have involved our defense giving up a late score to either beat us or send the game to OT.

If it's late in the game and you need one score to win, I can't imagine anyone you'd rather see on the other team's sideline than John Chavis.

I don't think that's accurate at all. I think A&M has said they would cover any buyout. LSU may very well get a 400k check, but I think it will be coming from A&M.

Then that will be income to Chavis and will still cost him about $160K in federal taxes.

That pretty much negates his pay increase for a year

Chavis is likely the better X's and O's guy.
Not sure about that. He had a lot of talent but consistently lost us games with 3rd and Chavis. In my opinion, while very good at what he does, he is overrated as a DC. I think this is revealed during the next 2-3 years at TAMU without the LSU defensive talent level. Once that happens, the Chief rides off into the sunset with lots of Aggie cash.

Unless the judge is a Texas grad.

I was under the impression that multi-state jurisdictional issues usually ended up with the case being heard in Federal court?

Be fair about it. That game was not on the defense at all. They didn't score a TD until late 4th despite our offense turning it over and not reaching 100 yards.

UGA in 2013 was an abortion that ruined an all-time great performance

Tennessee ran Chavis off for a reason and Tenn had more talent on Defense than Texas A&M currently has.

or possibly 3rd party arbitration.

Someone stated Craft likes to work the media. May be one of the primary reasons for that hire. Yeah, they'll pay eventually but not till after trying to attack both the state of LA and LSU in the media. That cult believes in the power of propaganda, believes its own propaganda, but rarely does the effectiveness extend beyond the cult members. However, that's ok with them. Who else puts out a t-shirt in the offseason talking about swag vs Bama when they still sit on a 59-0 drumming.

This is not multi-state litigation.

This is a Louisiana contract dispute. The parties are a La public university and a former employee who was a Louisiana domicilary.

The former employee attempted to forum shop and filed suit first in Texas in an attempt to gain a favorable forum. Texas AM is in the suit in an attempt to have some validity to having the case heard in Texas.

I don't see how in any way a Texas court has jurisdiction to hear this matter based on the known facts.
