After playing somewhat within himself against Ole Miss, he was back to his old and bad habits today.

Driving into heavy traffic when no outlet is available, jacking up shots mere seconds into the shot clock in crunch time ...

He apparently thinks he is still playing juco ball where he can drive the lane with impunity. In SEC games where the competition is tough and every game is crucial, the last thing we need is Josh Gray thinking he has to be Kobe Bryant, LeBron James or Michael Jordan.

He shows flashes of potential, as in the Ole Miss game, if he'd play within himself, be a playmaking guard, and set the table for the bigs.

As it is now, if I am Johnny Jones, I don't want Josh Gray anywhere near the ball--or anywhere on the court--in crunch time of a close SEC game.

Bottom line: we are 2-2 and we lost 2 games we should have won. The math says we are on track for 9-9.

And 9-9 in the SEC does not get us into the Dance.

Gray lost that game at the end.

The team blew the lead, Gray lost the game

I want him to drive the lane...but under control and with a purpose. His three pt shot is horrible and should stick to mid range

It is evident this team isn't going to the dance now.

Time to hope for an NIT run that carries momentum into next season.
