Texas freshman Myles Turner announced Monday he will leave for the NBA on Twitter, and his father confirmed to ESPN that he will send the paperwork to the NBA sometime this week.

"We have not sent in the letter to the NBA yet," David Turner told ESPN. "But he's not coming back to Texas. He's going to declare for the NBA draft."

The 6-foot-11 Turner was one of the most highly rated recruits in the country.

He's saying that him and Mickey ball very similar but he will be rated much higher than Mickey will be.

There's no one that him declaring will affect Mickey's decision. He won't be drafted first round so it doesn't matter if he gets drafted at all. He will have to try out during the summer and try to get a contract.

The big thing will be if his draft analysis comes back and says with certain improvements he could be a late first rounder next year.

Well he's 6'11, Mickey is 6'7.5.

And it doesn't matter who declares and who doesn't. Mickey would be lucky to get drafted this year

Turner was always going to come out so that doesn't change anything.

If Jordan's family is ok and have some sense(seems like they do), he will comeback. Otherwise, he plays in Europe or the D League. No big deal I wish him the best whatever path he chooses. I would love if he came back, but I'm a selfish guy.

being that he has gaps in his game that may prevent him from being drafted he would be wise to play D league ball or in Europe where he could really devote himself to improving his game. Of course if he really just wants to make LSU fans happy he will return. Most people do what is in their own self interests, hope he is different.

Yea Mickey is too small to be a "big", he can't shoot enough to a wing. Dude needs to work on his shot and come back 1 more year of college.

True but it will effect the draft order lowering Mickey's chance of first round. Wish Jordan the best no matter what decision he makes.

You're out of your depth here with your inflated sense of self importance. It's a good thing obviously no one gives any merit to what you say.

Keep doing your thing SoS
