But mark my words, we are going to the tourney and winning two games

Great, but that doesn't mean this guy is a good, in-game coach. He's an enigma at best who brings in superior talent and then inexplicably underachieves.

Lemme guess, you would rather have someone who brings in average players and get the most out of them to get to the NIT right

If you're going to try and proclaim the virtues of JJ you picked the wrong angle. The previous hoops staff was worse than abysmal. A gorilla would have been an improvement.

I wasn't trying to prop up Jones in comparison to Johnson. I was pointing out how far our program had fallen and how quickly Johnny has got us back.

So we beat a shitty San Francisco team in the first round of the NIT 2 years ago for Jones ONLY national tournament win (of any kind at LSU) and you're ready to anoint him the next Coach K?
He finished first in the powerhouse Sunbelt Conference once (13-5).....ONCE....ONE TIME during his tenure at NTSU.
He squandered an opportunity last year against NC State in the Dance that should never have happened.
His team this year has 9 losses....9.....with arguably the best player in college basketball....inexcusable.
Forgive me if I don't share your optimism after beating a demoralized and slumping AM team at home.

If by "back" you mean still haven't won a game in the tourney then, yes, he has brought us back.

Let's see, finishing dead last in the SEC in consecutive years versus finishing 3rd last year and currently in 1st.

"Back" meant being a healthy and competitive program again.

d. No offensive philosophy unless you count an AND 1 streetball type as one, and everyone stands around waiting to see who is gonna shoot the next 3 pointer.

I dont like it either but i noticed that Ky played the same type
Offense today and hammered usce

Jj may know more than we give him credit for

JJ has this program relevant again and on the verge of being very good. If this team closes the season strong and is able to win a couple of games in the tourney then that upward trend will continue.

I appreciate the job that JJ has done to this point.

When was the last time LSU was in 1st place in the SEC at the middle of Feb.??

I know we have more than our fair share of Drama Queens, but as of 2-14-16 what is this team's big sin in the SEC?
