Quietly doing a wonderful job. Great team player and one hell of a lead blocker. He's special.

Yes, he is doing well, much better than some of our alleged five star studs.

I'd like to see if he can run with the ball or catch it. He sure as hell can block.

He is a Sophomore. He is an outstanding student as well. Hard worker. Great attitude. He is the kind of kid you can win a lot of games with. Not taking anything away from the other backs, but he and Fournette may be the two best Character Backs in the country.

Plus:

He brings his lunch box to work every day.
His motor never quits.
He's like a coach on the field.

(Dude is really good though).

It's unfortunate that those like you, Methuselah, who are purportedly trying to expose stereo-typing, are actually the ones perpetuating it.

This is why I think Ducre will move to LB.

single back offense is the modern "pro" offense. it gives you variability (2 TE/2 WR, 1 TE/3 WR, 4WR) and spreads the field laterally

you can run everything the same out of multiple formations which gives your offense variability (including 2 blockers with 2 TEs)

you also have more options, because a FB is basically a dead player in a passing situation. you have to have a REALLY special FB to use him in the passing game and those guys are basically unicorns these days (b/c the FB is a dying position generally)

LSU compounds this with our TE preferences. when LSU runs a pass out of our base i-form, 1 TE set, if gordon is in there, we're playing 8 on 11. that is a big reason why we rely so much on vertical sideline routes almost exclusively.

Why? Didn't you see the difference between running behind Moore and taking a handful from the gun? Moore is one of the main reasons for this 60-70 yard runs where LF doesn't get touched through the front 7.

and they're the only NFL team to do so, i believe

they run that split backfield set and uses them in short yardage. they have special sets for the FB

pretty sure their primary offense is single back

Why? Dude is 6' 240 pounds and ran a 10.8 hundred meters. A move to defense may give him a chance to put that althleticism to use rather than waste away on the sidelines.

I am just having a hard time coming to terms with the fact that he'll probably never get a carry at LSU.
