after the tenure of Trent Johnson, I think Brady is a little underappreciated

During that era the only sec coach worse than brady was mark gottfried.

Trent johnson is one of the worst coaches in the country though, so of course brady looks good compared to him. Im just glad that the lsu basketball program is heading in the right direction now.

2 SEC Titles
2 Time COY
4 NCAA Bids
2 Sweet 16s
1 Final Four
6 seasons with 6 or fewer SEC wins

when he was good he was good, when he was bad he was bad

Brady under appreciated? Perhaps so.

Was a change still needed? Yes. Just because TJ was a failure does not mean it wasn't the right choice to make a move, just made a shitty hire.

Maybe Brady could have weathered the storm if he wasn't a total asswipe that alienated even the program's biggest supporters.

How many of these were at the beginning of his tenure?

Brady's career since he left LSU tells how much he should be "underappreciated."

Brady dug his own grave. Trent was a bad hire.
Ark St did not even make the Sun Belt tourney this year.

Brady's issue is that he doesn't know how to handle success which makes it impossible to sustain it. He is having the same issues at Arkansas State now where he had things going in the right direction and became complacent on the recruiting front. X and O doesn't matter when you have half the talent of the team you are playing.

If AState wasn't building a new football complex they would have bought him out and fired him this year.

I'd say if he wasn't such an a-hole he would have had longer leash when things didn't go so well.

This.

One thing I'll give Brady is his teams always played hard on the defensive end.

Yea...i was thinking about this recently

Brady has multiple sec titles, sweet sixteens and a final four on his resume but is perceived as a curmudgeon. Fired from LSU and arky state is his best opportunity.

Gottfried had some good bana teams but nowhere near bradys accomplishments yet comes off as an easy going likeable guy....lands a great gig at nc st.

Remember when brady flirted w ncsu to get a bigger pay day after the final four in 2006?

He definitely knew his x's & o's. I can't recall a Brady loss that was do to his poor coaching.

What I do recall was Brady's defiant screaming, cursing & demeaning his players on the bench.

I used to sit behind LSU's bench and think, "How could any recruit watch this and want to play for this guy?"
