Coach O moves to DC
Peveto to LB's
making room for Joe Rob as ST.
His units were always very good at LSU

Peveto is Les' guy. Also Peveto has been coaching LBs all season. And one thing you have to give him credit for is recruiting. He might be the best we've got in that department

I honestly hope they keep Peveto on ST if they're not getting rid of him. If he moves to LB coach we'll probably give up a record amount of big plays next year just from the LB play.

Don't know about the best, but he is a good recruiter and let's be fair, Debo and Beckwith did alright at LB. I am okay with that.

Peveto is already coaching the LBs people. He has been since Chavis left

Which is why he kicked him out after 08. Love how people forget that.

He did a good job with Riley and Shepard

He had to. He told him and Mallory to find employment elsewhere. BDP was in way over his head. He's a good LB coach and that's it. Also he's one of the best recruiters out there.

Peveto gotta go.....

When you're in a bowl game and you pooch the kick off? Our ST play has been really bad since he's taken over.

Come on man!

Agreed, enough already with the pooch kicks, especially when you have a guy in Gamble that can put it out of the end zone. But people that's coming from Les. He wants that

Wait..

You think BDP is a better recruiter than Frank Wilson, Steele and Orgeron?

Steele, yes. The other 2 he's close but I hear ya. That old fart can recruit. On one of the sites listings he came in at 2 while Frank was 9 I think and BeBe was 19th. Also if you listen to some of those interviews from the under armor game those kids and there moms love them some BDP

Make Peveto a recruiting-specialist only.
Hell, if Alabama can afford to have "30 folks on staff", why can't we?

Agree we get Joe Robinson for special teams.

Leave the defensive coaching staff as it is for another year and see what happens. Give them the opportunity to continue to recruit with some consistency at LB and Defensive Line. Then adjust roles for Steele and O if there's no further improvement next season.

If Orgeron is 19 then I place no validity in that site whatsoever.

That would be great.

Peveto to LB's

A lot of folks dismissing this idea but BDP's forte is recruiting and coaching LBs. My recollection is that we had very good linebacker play from 2005-2008. Perry Riley and Kelvin Sheppard were spectacular. Ali Highsmith was no slouch, either (though not recruited by BDP, He was Ali's coach most of his LSU career).

He left for a head coaching position (he sucked at that), though some on here have suggested it was a "you need to find another job" scenario. I have no idea on that. He is a spectacular recruiter, that will become more evident the longer he stays at LSU IMO.
