They lost a game on the road to a team that was favored of course they shouldn't have got penalized that much.

Yea, I love Joe's positive outlook on us, but even I think 9 right now is a little ambitious...but that shows what media pundits think.

Also, for the bfniii's of the world who will say Joe is dumb...do you people not think they talk to the committee routinely? Lunardi's ONLY job...his ONE JOB IN LIFE, is to talk to everyone to find out how they view teams. He doesn't just make this shite up because he feels like it.

If LSU falls out of the top 3 in the SEC regular season standings, we could be in big trouble, barring a huge SEC tournament. There are 4 teams within 2 games of us. We HAVE to finish the regular season strong.

That's the second time we've lost and moved up a line. I love it.

So we're only in because we're at the top of the standings? LSU has to win games...obviously...but this clearly points out that doom and gloom isn't necessary, yet. I've said all along, take care of home games, split on the road, you're dancing. If we go 4-0 at home, and 1-2 on the road...that puts us at 13-5 overall. We will be dancing with our glass shoes on ready to run through the tourney.

We also added another top 50 road win last night. Alabama jumped into the top 50 with that win over A&M.

Lunardi is great. Hell, he probably started the whole "bracketology" thing. However, he's bit more bullish on LSU than everyone else

LINK

Last nights win doesn't "kill" LSU's chances, but it's another missed opportunity to fill the biggest void in their tournament resume - only 1 win against a really good team (UK). There are many reasons to put LSU in the tournament. However, the biggest reason to keep them out is that they simply haven't beaten anyone outside of UK. Last year's group had ugly losses (especially in conf. play), but they also beat several good teams. This year's group doesn't have the ugly conf. loses, but they really only have one good win.

The opportunities for more "good" wins are running out. A&M and UF are both at home. LSU can't afford to let those games slip away because winning at UK on the final day of the season is a tall task

He was last year too. Everyone on this board was freaking out and he had us easily in, which we were.

Joe Lunardi is THE best there is. He has more resources, more contacts, more everything than every other bracketologist put together. He's so correct most the time it's terrifying

Nice

I wonder if these WordPress bloggers have the same access to committee members as ESPN and Lunardi...

Lunardi is the only pundit that has LSU that high. Also lunardi is not the selection committee. He's taking into account the late add of victor and Hornsby. Will the committee ignore our record and do that? who knows. We're far from a sure thing for the tourney.

If only there was a link in the OP that quotes a committee member and AD

Same as last year. He's not pulling this out of his arse

I don't think anyone disagrees with this statement

I'm sure Steve who lives in his mom's basement can probably just call up the committee chairman and get info

How are people downvoting you because someone says we are in the NCAA Tournament?

And am I told that our fanbase doesn't hate on basketball.
