Seriously, have you ever said anything positive about LSU basketball? You can downplay it all you want but getting a guy like JOB who is a big presence inside to go along with Hamilton is huge for this team

So you don't think he is soft? This team plays good defense and has a solid big man in Hamilton. The only way they make the NCAA tourney is to win the SEC tourney. You agree? They won't have a winning record in the SEC. JMHO.

I haven't seen enough of him to make a determination one way or another... He's played in what 9 games?

Umm no, is that the most probable way? Probably. Is it the only way? Not at all, for all you know we could win our next 11 games (not saying it's gonna happen, but it's still possible at this point because they haven't been played yet). Pretty sure if we go 13-3 in the SEC we are in regardless of the SECT.

Wow. Sorry but I can't be that optimistic. I tend to be a realist and from all the LSU basketball that I've witnessed over the years, there is always at least one physical, I'm gonna knock you on your arse type of player. This team has NOBODY that will do that. Basketball is a physical sport.

I didn't say it was gonna happen, but you are acting like the only way we can make the tournament is to win the SECT which obviously is not the case at this point.

Again you've seen JOBIII play in what 9 games at the most? Little hard to call him soft after his first 9 games, give him some time to adjust.

You got it. I will give him time and we will see. Just do me a favor when you watch him play tomorrow and see if you see what I see. I would love for him to intentionally foul someone if LSU has a big lead or is getting blown out. I just want to see some passion and fire in these dudes. I guess I just like physical basketball.

Freshman doesn't isn't averaging 20/10 in his first six weeks on campus?

FIRE THE COACH!!!

Broke one hand? Bruce Pearl would have had him averaging a double/double with the other hand!!!

I'm on board!!!

Okay, it's official, JOBIII will dress for tomorrow's game

LSU basketball team just finished practice at in Starkville. Johnny O'Bryant successfully went thru practice. Will dress Wed vs Miss St.

ETA a second tweet:

O'Bryant will probably wear what he wore in practice tonight a light wrap over a half glove. From my seat looked like a fb linemans glove.

Obryant was beginning to find his way before the injury. You could tell that the game was slowing down for him.

Agreed, I expect him to take a game or two to get back to that level, but he was improving and quickly. Hope he becomes another force inside opposite Hamilton.

I hate to use this phrase, but man our post game is going to be beyond legit next year with Hamilton and O'Bryant returning

He looks kinda scared to me when he plays. Does that mean he plays soft and isn't physical? So far he looks and plays like he has very little confidence. I hope he has a solid workout program in the off season and maybe he can be more physical and a vocal leader. This is where Trent needs to do the job he is paid for and make these young guys work out harder.

I agree w/ this. He's young and that's going to be the excuse, but there are other freshman that come in and play w/ more confidence. I've never seen a player with their head down so much. Hopefully somebody pisses him off and soon b/c he's a big dude.

Don't under estimate the fact that he is returning to his home state. I look for a solid game from JOB tonight.

Agreed. He was started to look better when he got hurt. Coming back this game is a great way to get back on track for the Kentucky game on Saturday.
