That is actually an interesting option. Not first choice, but maybe someone to keep in your back pocket if the first couple of calls go unanswered.

If you have any desire to keep some of the staff, bringing in a coach who isn't committed to a current staff is a nice alternative.

He is almost 64 years old. Why would we want a guy that would be a placeholder? Besides, he hasn't coached in 6 years.

He's easily one of the top 5 coaches in CFB in the last 15 years.
