Even though the radio is like 8 seconds fast I muted the TV and listened to the whole game on radio. I grew up listening to the games because they were never on TV.

Can't tell you how many crawfish boils, BBQs or fishing trips I have sat and listened to Jim call an LSU game. An era has ended and even despite his blubbering at times he was always a Tiger.

To Jim, you will be missed

I grew up listening to that voice. It's going to be a sad day when he gives his last call in basketball season. Hopefully it's in a final 4 game

We did the same ... 2 of my kids were home and commented that it'll be weird to not have his voice calling the games. Same for me ... he was doing LSU sports when I was in college and is the only Voice of the Tigers that I know.

Gonna be weird ...

Yep, had a lot of quality family time listening to "The Voice" call LSU sporting events. I, for one, am going to really miss Hawthorne's call.

Here's to you, Jim.
