"Headed into the spring, Jennings will be the No. 1 quarterback regardless of what one hears from the coaches. Early reports from the workouts over the past six weeks are that he has been working hard at his craft and has shown the dedication needed on and off the field.

Harris has also been spending a lot of time throwing with the receivers over the past six weeks or so. More importantly, is the fact that sources tell us he is spending more time in the playbook and doing the little things more efficiently that it takes to run a team in the SEC from behind center."

I hate seeing this. He works so hard yet doesn't have the skill to be an sec QB. What will it take for Harris to pass him?

Injury. So get behind him, because he's Les's guy. All we can do is support him and hope he grows into a competent QB.

Good to see Jennings is going to make Harris work hard to earn the job

247Composite was a .9135
#14 Pro Style QB and #213 overall in 2013.

Take a look at any QB that has played meaningful snaps for LSU and how they performed their sophomore year.

I couldn't agree with you more.

You could have an employee that gets in two hours before anyone else and leaves two hours after everyone else. His "work ethic" is outstanding. The problem is this employee doesn't have the skillset required to succeed at his job and his peers are successful while only putting in half the time he does.

Sure, work ethic plays a role. The kid simply doesn't have the skills required to be an SEC starting QB no matter how hard he works.

Les and Cam's belief that he's better at the position than Jennings. did you expect Jennings to not be the #1 QB headed into spring?

Did anyone seriously expect Harris to pass up Jennings before a practice was ever even had this spring?

Only time will tell, everyone said J Lee was terrible etc until he led us 9-0 before getting benched the rest of the year In his SR year. Im not saying Jennings will be like Lee but who knows? The kid might really get the playbook under control and become a really good game manager. He will be in his 3rd year with a bunch of PT. Im not def not defending him, just saying that this is how coaches will see it as well, I just hope Harris really brings it in the spring and summer and shows without a doubt that he is the best QB on the roster

The problem is there was zero progession as the season went on.

247Composite was .8792 #12 Pro Style QB and 324 overall in 2008. Want to guess who that was?

Recruiting rankings do not always translate to success at the collegiate level.

Was it the same QB who was starting when LSU won the SEC Championship?
