Example on the deep interception over the middle there were about three defenders around him. #44(whom I have to admit I was like who is that) was wide open deep in the right side. This in my opinion is one of the reason he struggles opposing coaches see this. If he would start looking at more receivers it would help him. I say this cause we will need him this year and he needs to improve. But I am with the crowd that Harris has proved he deserves to be the starter. But we can not give up on Jennings.

Yep. It's like he was just throwing it up in Dural's direction on the prayer that Dural would just make a play and bail him out.

I don't know if he only looks for Dural...but it sure seems he picks 1 receiver he likes before the snap and eyes him the entire time... Either throwing to him or panicking. There are no check downs with Jennings.

He can't look at more than one receiver. He is a one read QB. We saw it against Iowa and nothing changed all spring or summer. Kid just can't go through his progressions.

How is this beating a dead horse? Giving an example of a play that happened last night. And saying this is what he needs to improve on cause we will need him more than likely at some point this season. Or are you just a simpleton with no real opinions and have to resort to this?

I know. It's like he is the only receiver on the field...

This is actually the correct answer. In the ULM game, he threw to both Quinn and Dural 6 times. He picks his guy before the snap, and never utilizes his check down.

It's not just about a check down. It's about pre snap reads. It's about going through progressions. If the first receiver is covered, go to the 2nd, then the 3rd, then the 4th, then check down. This is what is supposed to happen unless the QB is under pressure. Then you immediately go to the check down. Jennings gets happy feet immediately after the first receiver is covered.

I talk about check downs because Jennings is under pressure a lot and doesn't utilize them. Let's not even start with scanning the field if you can't hit a simple check down. That should be a first priority and the work up to scanning the field. Of course he also makes bad pre snap reads too, but that is another thing.

nah. After watching Hudson Mason as a fifth year senior this year, I'm pretty sure him and Jennings are about the same type of QB.

AGREED.. He needs to sit and grow up and realize that Harris is better for the team........
