Can we get some screenshots posted of the current weather forecasts so that if/when Poche's start gets cut in half due to rain and everyone says how dumb it was to start him with the rain coming, we can have some accurate info to refer back to?

What will be interesting is once we get close to game time. The problem with Lange vs Florida was how the forecast changed in time to possibly make a change to the rotation. There's a dispute with that, of course.

I'm betting that the other three teams in our regional lack pitching depth so Mainieri feels good about going all out for the 2-0 start. We got burned by Houston a couple of years ago because they had a deep bullpen, and they also brought back their game 1 starter to start the final game. Also, Southeastern had a solid ace that year so we had to pitch Poche, our #2, and it was a good move because we were tied late in that first game. We just ran out of decent pitching after blowing the first championship round game.

To Choup's point, if Poche runs into weather early, he'd be available for the championship game or "if Necessary" game.
