Will Jared Foster be permitted to participate in Senior Day?

being that he is no longer on the team, I highly doubt it

Why should he? He let all his team mates down by being irresponsible

If participation was offered to Foster he would be wise to avoid walking out on the field. I don't see how he wouldn't be embarrassed to participate.

No way he's allowed to participate. He doesn't deserve to be recognized for letting his teammates and family down for allowing himself to become academically ineligible to participate in college athletics.

I would have no problem with it. He's been on the team a long time, contributed greatly to this years team. Made a mistake and will be punished greatly for it. Still on the team and eligible to play For one more day.
I'm sure he will still graduate later this year

I agree with all of this. If I were in CPM position I would tell the team its their choice then leave the room so I didn't influence it one way or another.

How I feel. But you know how fans are, they treat him like he robbed their house or something.

And part of that punishment should be not being able to participate in senior day.

Not sure how anyone can feel sorry for this kid.

I slightly do, mostly because I'm human and have empathy. Got all the way to the end and couldn't finish it out. Probably had senior day with his family all planned out. And then he doesn't get to do it. I can empathize with that. Regardless of whether or not it was his own doing.

Don't feel sorry for him one bit. I would just let the team decide. Their choice would be a good indicator if Foster is a selfish dick who pissed away his opportunity or if he was a good team member his entire career who just fricked up in the classroom this one time. The team certainly knows better than some random arse people on the internet.

Why do posters keep asking this? What don't you understand about no longer on the team?

On the surface, I see no reason for much empathy. If there were extenuating circumstances, like having to drive back and forth to Lake Charles because of an ill relative, I can see it. Otherwise I can't be empathetic to simple irresponsibility. I do feed bad for what he's going through, maybe it will be a lesson learned.
