I hope he has a start like he did against Fullerton, but with the Tigers scoring more than 5 and having the ability to hit their reliever.

Can you imagine how different all of this would be if Fullerton hadn't coughed up that lead vs. Oregon State in Game 1?

No doubt. Could very likely be LSU sitting 2-0 right now with Oregon State needing to get two wins.
But walks killed them, on top of not figuring out the relief pitcher.

His last 3 outings have been his worst of the year, which each one being worse than the last. He was on the hook for the L agaisnt Fullerton, and if vandy had gone wright game 1 of the supers they probably lose that one as we'll. thompsons your stereotypical 6-4 225 power righty who throws mid 90s with no control and a good slider. Only problem is OSU has a great bullpen so LSU needs to get a decent lead early on this guy. I can see an inflated pitch count being an issue

Their actual best pitcher was hurt for most of the year and was the other candidate to start today: Drew Rasmussen.
