I've never enjoyed watching a mediocre LSU b-ball team play as much as this one

We've had plenty of mediocre teams in the past couple decades. But something about this team really has upped my level of enjoyment.

Reminds me of John Brady's first year coaching up players who would never otherwise play for a D-I program. Lost some heartbreakers that year but not for lack of effort on the players' part.

this team is quick. if they can find an offseason big, they will be very good next year.

They found 3 who have post presence signed and anxious to deliver. A big guard who can create his own shot would be nice....

These kids are fun to watch. They were all but done with about 3 min. left but never quit. Fighting Tigers, indeed.

Haha have a 6'5 guard who can seriously play. Ranked top 40 in country from Georgia coming in. JJ said should be top 10

Malone may not even play next year.

Odo, Martin, and Mickey will provide more length and athleticism down low.

They are fun to watch. They play hard. They don't quit. They have 2 very good players in O'Bryant and Hickey. And, I think Jones is a great coach.

If JOB III is back no one wil be able to matchup well with us in the SEC between him, Martin, Mickey and Odo. With Quarterman, Morgan, Mickey, Martin and JOB III on the floor at once you have a team who can make a KILLER press.

Really hard to consider this team mediocre with the way they play.
They have a lot of heart and have gotten better as the season has progressed.
If this is what Johnny continues to bring to the program, his teams could be playing for championships we never imagined possible.
Football, baseball and now basketball...we could be entering a "golden" age in LSU men's sports!

I'll be curious to see if we have to press next year. I think it will really depend on the matchup and the players we put on the court.

JOB needs to come back. I'm not sure he will though.

We go from no depth, to huge in one season. Odo is 6'11, Martin is 6'7 to 6'8 depending who you listen too, Mickey is 6'8, Quartermain is a 6'6 Point Guard, and Malone is 7ft. At least Martin will start and probably Malone too. If JOB comes back we are HUGE.

Yea, I'm not comfortable calling this team mediocre, but I understand where the OP is coming from. This team sure gave us one hell of a ride today.
