But isn't the reason why it is black to help you see the ball? I thought all stadiums had something like this

The problem isn't that it's there. It's that it looks cheap.

Agreed. Big arse fans need to be installed also.

We have plenty of big arse fans.
It's Louisiana, and it's Baton Rouge.

Of all the updates tBox needs, this has to be the first one on the table.
I Totally Agree !!

Ah gotcha. Well back to the complaints about the bleachers and among other things, I heard the reasons they put bleachers in was because aesthetically they wanted the new alex box to look and feel as much is like the old alex box. And they did a good job because when I go to the games I do feel like I'm at the old Alex box but just everything is brand new, if that makes any sense. Kinda like building a new house but designing purposely to look like an old southern home. I mean there is obviously parts of the new park that the old park didint have but from an entire view a lot of it looks the same.
Am I making any sense?

I am happy with my $50 per seat tradition fund on the 3rd base side.
Chairbacks would raise ticket prices significantly.
Huh , LSU needs to absorb the cost , which is not as much as you think for really nice chair back seating.
Chairback Prices

I see what you are saying. And that is what I love about the look of the grandstand. It looks like an awesome version of a 1920's stadium... but then you get to the bench seating along 1st and 3rd, and the bleachers in the outfield. I do think that those should be replaced with something that looks like an extension of the architecture of the grandstand. I think that they could keep that "old Box" feel and improve/modernize the seating.
I'm also in agreement with the idea of putting those huge fans under the roof of the grandstand. Up near the concourse the breeze can blow but towards the middle it can get a little stuffy.

You're crazy if you think LSU would absorb that cost and use refurbished seats. I think if they did it they would do it right and get new quality seats, and then pass the cost on to the fans. Or you could sit in the new "Chevron," "Penzoil," or "Lowe's" seats.

What was the highest actual attendance on the season? I bet the lowered capacity from the chair backs would still be sufficient for 99% of the games. Any additional premium put on the chairbacks would make up the revenue lost from lowered capacity. It's a great idea.

I don't want a chair, I want to be in a hammock. Is this possible?

Meh, I would rather be in a swimming pool with a few bikinis.
