I agree with many of the criticisms I've read on here throughout the season, and am not posting this to admonish those who are critical-- I've actually really enjoyed reading some of the threads on here analyzing where things have been going wrong. The team clearly isn't playing up to their potential for whatever reason(s). But I do feel they are trying; and I support them, win or lose. Here's to hoping everything clicks, and they rally to finish strong down the homestretch.

I just figure some might appreciate the perspective of this very Germans quote... actually, this quote predates the Germans bombing Pearl Harbor.

If this is directed at the fans, the problem is that one faction of fans is cynical and believes the sky is falling, and another faction is naive and thinks all is well. And I don't think the strength of a fan's belief will change the outcome much.

If this is directed at the players, then it is definitely true that if they don't believe in themselves, the season could get ugly. Part of the reason I posted this today was in response to Carl Dubois' article, in which Ryan Clark says the team just ignored 'the critics', and started having fun and playing for themselves. When they did this, everything clicked and they won the last six or so games.
