Isn't it obvious what happened?

Whether it be the extra $5Million to buy out Jimbo's contract, ramifications of his divorce, or apprehension to change his son's doctor and treatment plan, this whole ordeal hinged on getting Jimbo to Baton Rouge. In the end, the brass couldn't make it work, so they decided to stick with Miles. Didn't want to take the risk with an "upandcomer".
Does anyone think this is the case?

They were afraid of pulling a Tennessee/Fulmer and instead decided to go the Texas/Mack Brown route.

I agree. It appears it was either Jimbo or stick with Les.

Duane says that Jimbo is still coming to coach LSU.

You nailed it. Jumbo said no, we had no plan B, and we settled for the bumbling drunk Uncle again.....Aleva should be fired this morning.

No I think everyone who doesn't know a damn thing started spreading shite an whatever may have been the truth got mixed with propaganda an led to a week of half truths an flat out lies. I bought into it to, so I'm a idiot also.

This was my read on the situation too. Once Jimbo to.d FSU President he was staying, the whole ordeal was over tpregardless of last night's game outcome. Aleva had a one trick pony solution that did not pan out. That simple.

Jimbo turned this circus down. Why would he come to this shitshow?

Man I was convinced yesterday that Tom Herman could come here and wreck shop year one. Keep Franks as Co-OC and Ed O as DC, hire Curtis Johnson as WR coach and Cooper as S/T coach. I'd like Raymond to stay, but I'm sure Herman would want other coaches.

Which is stupid. You don't make a coaching change because you only think one guy can do it better. You make the coaching change because the program is becoming stale.
New blood is needed, interview candidates and pick the best.

It's not obvious how many more of these threads will pop up though. Which is extremely unfortunate.

So it's true, Fisher's wife likes the BBC...?

I said it last night:
2 reasons for what happened. I think the runny mouth supporters balked at paying the $15 mill buyout, ("no problem!".
And Jimbo not coming.
Opinions as to which happened first? I think boosters quit on it after Jimbo quit.

Alleva and his staff couldn't keep a secret.
Media talking heads exercised their right to miss the point entirely.
Enjoy your vanilla ice cream.

Agree - Once Jimbo backed out the only logical choice was Miles. Therefore, Alleva should be replaced.
Reason: -
1. Mislead LSU boosters, fans, players and coaches.
2. Embarrassed the University Nationally
3. Failed to hire Jimbo
4. Possibly derailed our #1 recruiting class.
How LSU saves Face.
Priority:
1. Replace Alleva
2. Replace Cam Cameron
3. Hire a new OC and give him full control of offense. Maybe someone like Herman in waiting to take over LSU after Coach Miles contract ends.
