Big time game in a national spotlight like cecil collins did (granted that was a home game)

I read that he's saying the game is slowing down for him. Maybe spreading the field getting him in space more helps. I think this is the week the LF machine kicks into 5th gear.

I hope so, the rest of the sec is calling him a bust, I believe he will break out.

still waiting, even though he's had plenty of chances, especially against 3 cupcakes at home. Waiting for a big "wow" moment. Haven't seen it.

He's good, and may yet turn into something special, but I see LF, Hilliard, and Williams as interchangeable at this point.

depending on the offense. 2 TE with Jennings at the helm... 57 yards. Spread offense with Harris 132 2 TDs

We only ran 2TE/2RBs 4 times this past weekend...

That only works with an above average offensive line... LSU needs to spread out defenses cause our O Line has struggled early on this year.

People calling him a bust are trolls. He's the leading rusher and receiver out of our backfield despite poor line play. He will finish the season with 1,000 rushing yards if the coaches divvy up the playing time like they did this past weekend.

ETA: Check out these stats:

Fournette: 56 attempts, 322 yards, 5.8ypc, 4 TDs
D Henry: 53 attempts, 320 yards, 6.0ypc, 2 TDs
T Yeldon: 57 attempts, 284 yards, 5.0ypc, 2 TDs

He's clearly a bust

Harris in gives ALL of our RB'S more space.

If BH continues to Improve and make teams respect the pass, sky's the limit for our running game.

Can you point out the carries where he should have gotten more yards?

The last 7 years LSU is 6-1 against Auburn! 7-1 after Saturday.

I'm a huge fan of LF7 and think he's clearly our best back, but he's had some bad runs this year. The first one that comes to mind is the second goal line carry he got against Wisconsin. He rammed into the LOS and got tackled for no gain when he could have bounced it to the outside and walked in for a TD.

I think early on he followed the play's design religiously and didn't use his vision, but that's slowly coming as he gets more comfortable with the speed of the game. Fournette is a guy, like Hill, that will get better and better as the game goes on. He needs 15+ carries a game to be truly effective.

His breakout game would've been Week 1 if we had given him more carries.

That being said, I think Les will give Leonard a lot more carries this weekend.

He has played pretty well against some really weak competition excepting State. LF season begins Saturday.

He went off of the edge, and there was an unblocked player standing there. Perhaps he should have tried to outrun the safety to the corner, but he lowered his shoulder and ran over the safety. He picked up a yard or two on the play because he plowed the safety, but he did not find the endzone. Just a question for you, what do you think his coaches had been teaching him all camp about goal line carries? Do you think they taught him to get the ball and run to the corner, or to hit the hole quick and get running downhill?
