Much worse; back then it got no uglier than students wearing tee shirts and carrying on at free speech alley. I was there. Mac was always afforded a degree of respect.

The embarrassing Help Mac Pack signs mainly came from the frats. Of course, that was another time before even a pager. Dang I miss those days with no form of outside communication except to use your home phone or stick a letter in the mail.
