It does look pretty shitty. Off the top of my head I can't remember a number 29 recently who played a lot. Not saying we didn't have someone, I just don't remember them.

The old Tiger Gift Center sold a bunch of used helmets in the late 90s through the mid-2000s
Some of them were game used, all of them were practice used
The Tigers in that old font on the front was phased out in the 2000s and replaced by LSU

Looked it up, miles era changed the sticker from Tigers to LSU
so that could be a Saban era helmet but it is the wrong face mask for Travis Daniels

Not sure if 100% legit but it's definitely from the 90's. Though it could be reconditioned as there doesn't look to be much in terms of scuffs.

No way to know unless you DNA the players and match it to one of them. Some helmets are refurbished and it's hard to tell.

Put it on and ram your head against a wall. If it works and doesn't cause a headache, it's game used.
