Seems like in years past they used to do a lot of communicating during the game but not so much now. Whenever they do talk it seems very brief and tense. I never notice them celebrating after victories like I do notice with PM and AC.
Anybody aware of a problem between them?

Sign of a good coaching relationship. Its good to have assistants that actually give an opinion vs follow the leader.

What are you talking about? On defense Dunn and Mainieri are together at end of the dugout signaling calls to the catcher, and on offense Cannizaro and Mainieri are together at the end of the dugout yelling encouraging nonsense to the batters. Always been like that and still is.

ETA: and during the Javi days it was Javi and Mainieri together at the end of the dugout with Javi yelling something along the lines of "BIG SWING KEED! FOCUS KEED, FOCUS!"

No past rumblings between the two.
Nothing ever expressed to the media or close friends.
Aka cause for concern on the rant.

They have little tiffs here and there, but nothing major or anything to be worried about.

Mainieri and Dunn did have an argument in the dugout during the SEC tournament I believe.

Mainieri can be an angry fella sometimes... And for good reason.

PM and Les Miles have some similarities.
My guess is a lot of pitching decisions about usage and bullpen options are PM.
AD calls most pitches.

I wish PM would let AD handle all pitching but he never will relinquish that control.

All I know is the track records is good since AD came. Pitching was awful under Grewe and there is a reason Gausman, Nola and those guys are making the MLB rosters sooner than most.

The pitching has improved greatly under Dunn, I agree.

But, I have to wonder why we continue to not have reliable #3 & #4 starters by the end of the regular season? That situation is now in its 3rd or 4th year.

Isn't it Coach Dunn's responsibility to develop those starters? Or, is the explanation the lost players we've had, such as Godfrey, Marshall and until the last few weeks, Latz?

It's great to see that tarp patrol duty and rain delays haven't waterlogged your sense of humor, Harry!

To heck with that. Why don't we have five (5) reliable starters like the rest of the Super Regional teams? Unbelievable! Fire err'body!

The johnny wholestaff approach hinders developing that 3/4 guy that you only need in regionals if you fall into losers bracket.

I understand why they do it, you want your guns ready for SEC weekends.

"greatly" is a strong word, but I agree. It's better.

Very fair questions and I think it's a little of both. Losing those guys hurts. We've been unlucky.

You don't have a clue dog so why do you post such bull shite. Big time rift exist between the leprechaun and Dun. I have direct input, but if you can't see that from watching the games, the lack of interface, and obvious disdain for each other you need glasses or help or both
