Is Rueban Randle a legitimate 6"4 is that just a program height?

The trend has been take off an inch (at least for WRs). Bowe was advertised as 6'3" (actual 6'2"), Brandon Lafell (same as Bowe), Doucet 6'1" (actual 6'0"), Buster Davis 6'2" (actual 6'1")...

Common issue in all of CFB.
Julio Jones was listed as 6'4" (his HS measurement also) but measured 6'2.75" in the NFL combine.

AJ Green was listed at 6'4". I think his was legit, though. Stafford was listed at 6'4" and measure out closer to 6'2". David Greene was also listed at 6'4" but was actually 6'3". It happens everywhere. Drew Brees is listed at 6'1" but I've heard he's closer to 5'10" or 5'11".

Is there any standard as to how they measure? My son's school measures them with cleats on. How much of this is measuring with cleats and without cleats?

That's where the inconsistencies come from, most of the measurements are with shoes or cleats on which is always gonna give the person an inch or two in height. The NFL combine is without shoes and if I remember correctly, they make them stand in a way that almost makes you even shorter than if you are standing normally. Of course, when you think about it, 99% of the time the person is wearing shoes or cleats when it's relavent anyways so why this matters is beyond me.

I think he is legit. One of my dads buddies got lucky enough to go to some party with him. Not a big one just some get together where they were hanging out. They have a picture together and Brees is taller than him. He (the friend) is probably 5"11 or barely 6.

Brees has said he is 5'11" and 3/4ths when measured strictly and barefoot.
