With the advances the American society has made in regards to the the rights of the LGBT community, is it time the LSU nation welcomes back one of their own?

Pokey's problem wasn't her sexuality it was the fact that it was with a player.

But Chancellor started the decline of the program and Caldwell finished it off

Agreed. Who doesn't love a good rug munch every now and then? I would sacrifice a little girl on girl action for the good of the program.

What advances are you talking about? I've never been less proud to be American. The country is in decline and is gaining speed. Now your talking about bringing back a sexual predator. Great choice.

Sexual predator? Goodness gracious. She had a consensual relationship with a grown woman.

I used to care about Women's basketball when Pokey was in charge. I think it is time to bring the program back to where the casual fan cares.

People make mistakes. Its time for us to forgive Pokey.

No coach, at any school in the country, would keep their job after having sexual relations with their players. The gay angle has nothing to do with it. It would be the same for a male softball or girl's basketball coach hooking up with female players.

EX player. She should never have been made to leave.

Was it ever proven that the relationship didn't start while she was still in school?

It was not a good rep of LSU. There's a line bt a coach and player that cannot be crossed. If it did start after she was out of school then they should have waited a bit longer to make the delineation more clear.

The fact is, it's women's basketball and people don't really care. What little publicity there is with women's bball, we had it when Pokey was here. Now womens' sports has gone back to no one caring. Pokey did way more good than bad here. I don't know how anyone really cares that she scissored with a chick consensually.

So if the male swim coach had a "consensual" relationship with a female swimmer you wouldn't have a problem with that? I doubt it. The power and influence coaches have over athletes makes any sexual relationship an ethical issue and there can never be real consent.

Grow up, Peter Pan...Count Chocula.

People deserve to be happy. If it's a consensual relationship I don't really have a problem with it. The ONLY thing I would be weary of, is if the coach showed favoritism and screwed other players. But Pokey didn't do that. And if she did, it worked because she won

I wouldn't have a problem with a male coaches relationship with an adult female athlete. It is their personal lives not mine. However I am the type not to try and impose my moral values on others.

fricking admins anchoring this thread for no reason. Pussies.

I hope your 50 year old neighbor bangs your 18 year old daughter silly and uses your "be happy" argument. What a dumb decision making process. People are happy speeding and stealing too.

Hey, if the neighbor has enough swag, and my daughter is hot enough to be wanted and they're happy...who am I to stand in their way? Sorry that you're clearly some old "stick in the mud" that can't get out of his ways. I mean speeding...really. Guess you've NEVER gone over the speed limit. You're a saint

Also, Pokey Chapman's situation of her being around 40 with a Senior in college who she is now married to is not even remotely the same as a 50 year old neighbor banging my daughter.
