Tap the brakes.

1. I love the competitive spirit of the kid.

2. He has made the absolute most of his opportunities - it's tough coming out of the shadow of a player the caliber of Leonard Fournette.

3. He's just a sophomore - he's got a lot of football left. Let's have this discussion in another year or so.

(ETA - 4: He's got a stupidly high YPC - you can't teach that.)

Not yet, he hasn't had the volume of those other guys. The bulk of his carries have been in the second half of games, and versus lesser competition. I'd like to see what he can do consistently vs a good defense.

Jeremy Hill IMO is severely underrated. He was every bit as good as LF7.. if not better.

1a) Hill
1b) Fournette
3) Faulk
4) Cecil Collins

Stop.

Hill was great, but come on.

Statistically, Leonard Fournette is the best LSU RB ever and there's not really a debate.

1. Fournette
2. Faulk (did a lot more on a lot worse teams and did it for longer)
3. Hill

It's rare to have 2 backs this good on the same team at the same time, assuming Guice ends up on the short list of all-time LSU RBs. I remember hearing the story of the Oklahoma coach back in the day when asked about going up against Oklahoma State's senior RB, Thurman Thomas. He said something to the effect, "hell, I'm more worried about that young freshman, Barry Sanders!"

I love Guice, but damn, pump the brakes on this GOAT talk.

Guice has had a few good games. I love it too, but take a breath please.

I'll never understand some people's desire to put a player on Mount Olympus after a game or two. And remember, our schedule has been shitty up until now (except Wisconsin, which looks legit).
