Saw someone mention it last night and the more I thought about it the more I liked it (was drinking)

Now that I think about in the more I see all the conference/tv revenue we would lose but is there even a remote chance a program like us could make it work? Or is it just not possible?

No, it wouldn't work. In the SEC we put ourselves in the strongest position to win championships.

Yeah that's feels like they screw us over; but a 1 loss SEC team is viewed as stronger than any other 1 loss team in the nation due to our murderers row of a schedule (especially in the West); combining that with the loss in TV revenue, it just doesn't make much sense.

On a more reasonable note, Notre Dame was independent for years and finally decided they needed to be in a conference. The starry-eyed LSU homers on here may disagree, but there's little doubt that ND is a more nationally recognized and followed brand than LSU. If they couldn't stay independent, there's little chance LSU could make it work.

THE TIME to leave the SEC was back in 2006 after GRAND THEFT AUBURN. we would have played for a natty almost every year in the BIG EAST. problem is where would we have went after that?

THAT SHIP HAS SAILED

we are not leaving SEC

We would probably be dominating the ACC or possibly the BIG 10 today.
