Miles said in the ARK post game press conference he did not know what was wrong with the offense and that LF only got 5 carries because the ARK defense prevented the types of plays they had called for him??? So either LF does not know the playbook or attempts by Landon Collins and by 245 lb Reuben Foster to knock him out of the game or worse have sidelined him. The Foster hit looks like a targeting foul from this angle and reports from the sideline were that he "had his bell rung". After the Foster play the ALA celebration emptied their bench and students also came on the field with Saban expecting a penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct. It reminded me of what they did to Mett last year and celebrated. Earlier they had a clear shot at Jennings and backed off. I don't think they wanted to knock him out of the game. Foster's hit, leading with his head left Foster's right arm temporarily limp and followed on the heels of Landon Collins delivering a hard blow to Fournette. Fournette was too injured to return for Overtime and Saban said it won ALA the game. Since then he has gained only 18 yds on 10 carries at ARK before being pulled from the game. Fournette's longest run, 40 yds, is second to BH 46 yd run for longest of the season. At the beginning of the year no one would have expected that LF would not have had a slew of long TDs and KO returns. The pounding I formation runs into the line and KO returns have made it a rough year and he is of course wearing a target on his back. The articles say he is not injured but not finishing the ALA game and being ineffective at ARK suggest something more.

Foster's big hit ignited Tide in Overtime Win

Fournette has virtually vanished

It's targeting.

Which brings up another great point. Why is fournette returning kicks in the first place?

Clearly targeting. I said it at the time.

Just one of many dirty plays and uncalled penalties from the Crimson Tide.

As highly touted #10 is for Bama, there is a reason he is only playing special teams. Watching Bama play Miss. St., #10 leads with his head on every tackle.

Back in early September I questioned why Fournette was returning KOs and got blasted on the Rant. I didn't think then that he should be returning KOs and I don't now.

I've noticed this as well. He is going to get badly hurt if he doesn't correct this.

He hit LF with his shoulder not his helmet. It only looks like a hit with his helmet due to this camera angle.

Why does our fan base insist on crying about referees after evey loss. I just don't get it.

One more reason to despise Alabama and Nick Satan, their HC.

At the same time, LF is too valuable a player to have him returning kicks. Are our coaches too lazy to develop another sure handed speedy kickoff receiver?

This is correct. The hit was on LFs shoulder. Completely legal.

All you whiners please stop. Bitching about the refs is for losers.

You're not going to get a big call like that against Bama. You know better than that.

Jesus Christ, how are you supposed to hit someone now? LF is running full speed, the alabama player is running full speed, it's not as easy as you think it is to not have some contact with your head.
