I wasn't bitching, I'm saying I think it would be a good hire. It would be a proven hire who could stand up to Les and tell him to back down.

Rice only had less than 13 once....against Houston and that's bc they got their arse handed too them and had to abandon the run.

Look, he may be fantastic and we might start steam rolling everyone.

But I can remember a bunch of games where RR got a pathetic amount of carries.

Who cares?

Have you seen their QB and WR's, TE? Pretty darn good.

Ray Rice is little...he couldn't start in front of Hill IMHO

I'm just saying maybe you should look more at his entire career and body of work. Of course people remember him lately for being fired for not seeing eye to eye with Ray Rice, but you need to look deeper. The guy has been a SOLID OC and QB coach at the highest level for years and has had some years where his offenses were among the best in the league. He has developed two of the top 10 QBs in the league and had a hand with Drew Brees as well. The Ravens offense has been head and shoulders better the past 5 years than it ever was before him and that has been HIS baby. Sometimes people just aren't the right fit anymore which apparently is what happened in Baltimore, but his system is a HUGE reason the Ravens are World Champions...

Who give a shite what he did with the Ravens, he is a real OC. Has to be 100% improvement.

But who would actually call the plays?

I think most people consider Sean Payton a genius play caller. There are games where he abandons the run all together. Cam Cameron would be the most decorated OC in the NCAA. We are talking about a former NFL head coach and a very successful NFL OC, where San Diego and the Ravens averaged over 10 wins a season.

This would an absolute home run hire. 1.) Has actually had success in the NFL 2.) Has helped develop QB's last nights Super Bowl MVP 3.) Perhaps most importantly, comes from the same system as our head coach so fits into exactly what Miles wants to do.

4.) Less likely to have anyone meddle with his gameplan.
5.) Any change at this point can be nothing short of an improvement

I know a move like this will keep goodwill amongst those in the program and the fanbase that are worthy. There's going to be a few changes in staff to accomodate.

Also had 37 wins in his last three seasons as the OC in SD

In his last 125 games as an NFL offensive coordinator, the teams Cameron was a part of in San Diego and Baltimore lost a total of only eight games by more than seven points.

yea, what hot shot offensive recruit would want to come here and play for this guy.
I mean, he did cut Ray Rice out of the offense a couple of times

From the theories I've heard it would be less axed and more reorganizing.

Yeah but at least one coach is going to have to go.

I've always been a proponent of retiring Ensminger, sliding Krags over to TE coach (he was slated to coach WRs at A&M so it's not a big stretch), and Stud back to OL. Seems like the "easiest" solution.

Another thing would be for Krags to take a cushy admin position due to his health but he's not exactly an LSU lifer so I don't know if that would go over well politically...

got any better alternatives, retard? some of you will never, ever be happy. That's just an unfortunate fact.

Cameron would have an absurdly impressibe bio for a college OC.

I'm not doubting anybody's word on Cameron, but I just have to ask a question. If he is so good, why hasn't he landed another NFL gig?

Hell to the yeah. You could opine that this might actually keep Les out of the offense given that he'd have a "Michigan man" at the helm.

Just about every head coach that was hired this season is an offensive guy. They likely have their own philosophy on offense and would more likely hire someone who has worked with or for them already. JMO

If GG's tweet is correct then & stud goes back to Online, its either Ensminger or Krags that moves. Stud/Henry splitting the TE's if its Ensminger. IMO, I think Krags gets reassigned. The Parkinson's is going to start taking its toll.

Cameron hasn't missed a season since getting into coaching, and all NFL OC positions are taken.

It's Feb and he's jobless. No word from him on "taking a year off" a la Lovie Smith.

A post NSD hire as the new LSU OC is the only thing that makes sense.
