We all remember Danny getting burnt in coverage all the time.

i remember when he left Defense went to shite.. that dude was the glue that held it together.. him and Beckwith are identical..

Sheppard. and I don't think he would pop up much in an underrated LB discussion because most fans remember him as being a damn good LB.

Lionel Turner was a hard hitting LB and had a great senior year. 1st team All SEC and played MLB on one of the best defenses in the country that won a NC in 04. He was a big time LB that year and hasn't been mentioned. Underrated........

Perry Riley.
He played around a lot of good players at a time when the LSU D had a ton of talent. Because he was a juco transfer he only played a short time but made a big impact.
I think he's been in the NFL approaching 10 years.

Perry Riley came straight outta HS. he and Shep were teammates in HS, and in the same class. Shep redshirted, Perry didn't and work his way into the LB rotation as a freshman.
Ken Hollis was the last JUCO LB of significant impact that I remember.

You might be thinking of someone else. Riley didn't go to JUCO.
Lionel Turner
Jeremy Lawrence
Eric Alexander
Perry Riley
Kelvin Sheppard
Lamin Barrow
Lamar Louis
Duke Riley
I think Darry Beckwith, Ryan Baker, and Jacob Cutrera were highly rated out of HS, so no on the list, but I do like them. The rest of these guys improved when they got here with hard work, bided their time, played and contributed significantly as Seniors. The book is still out on Donnie Alexander, but a potential candidate

I'm sorry, but you cannot have a legit response to who might be greatest of all time if you don't go back more than 15 years...sigh...kids today!

Harry Coleman was the safety converted to LB. In his senior year and first season starting as a LB, he finished 3rd on the team in tackles behind Kelvin Sheppard and Perry Riley.
Harry Coleman was a hard hitting LB, special teams demon early in his career that could deliver a blow.
