No longer "under the wing" of Barrow and Jones. I think he makes a huge impact for us this year. He can play all 3 linebacker spots but mostly outside. Crazy to think that he can emerge as a top 3 SEC linebacker?

don't mean to be a debbie downer but if you think we are going to shine with a qb that has played 1 game and a RB that hasn't played any, you are in for a surprise. We'll probably do the same as last year. Lose a couple SEC games and come in 2nd or 3rd. It really depends on how dependent Bama was with McCarron and A@M was with JM. We'll beat the dog piss out of auburn

I honestly expect LSU to go back to having an amazing defense with an above average offense just like 2011

Oh yea, I like him. His game is amazing for an under the radar kid. Hunter and Herron/Rasco sould have fun in opponent's backfield.

Hunter and Alexander very well could be our best two players on defense next year. I like Mills and free safety and Paris at corner. Could make for some beautiful zone blitzes.

maybe i'm underestimating Cam but I would say with Mett Landry Beckam and Hill we were an above average offense. We lose all of them and we are still going to be above average? I'm thinking 2010 will be a similar year to 2014

I actually agree with you. I think our D will be tops in the SEC, depending on how our D line performs. I think our offense will start out slow, but get better with experience (the obvious). Ok.. so maybe 2015 will be LSU's year to shine..

Not above average at all, but they were able to run it down your throat with nothing you could do about it. Assuming all the hype is true with Quinn and Dupre, I think we still are. Of course we start out slow but that's because of experience. I'm not worried about running back situation at all. Out of Fournette and Magee, along with 2 - 2,000 yard rushers coming in, someone WILL produce. Kept most of our O-Line so the only thing to worry about should be who steps up at QB, imo.

Give em until about week 8, and we'll be a well oiled machine led by the defense, barring major injuries of course.

Not expecting another show of the 2013 offense, but we won't be average either.

Everybody lost players. Bama, LSU and TAMU lost QB's. Auburn lost best RB, LT, and many on defense. We have just a good a shot as anyone.

He was my darkhorse pick for All-SEC last year, didn't come to fruition. I really think the poor D-line play hampered him late in the year. In the beginning, D-line sucked and the Jalens struggled mightily.

Nevertheless, in 2014 he needs to shine. Definitely has the talent.

I agree 100% but no one will listen to me.

ps - same people who thought we wouldnt miss a beat on defense after the 2012 defections. Need to look at reality sometimes. Future is bright, very bright - but 2014 will not be a championship season and hopefully our dumbass fans dont hold the young players to that impossible standard.

I guess we are just forgetting about Magee and Hilliard now that Fournette is here?

I'm more concerned about the WR position than the running backs.

Exactly; offense will take a step back BUT will still be above average. Just need to believe in Cam. Now our defense, aw the party is just getting started.
